Title: A randomized double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter trial, assessing the impact of inclisiran on major adverse cardiovascular events in participants with established cardiovascular disease (VICTORION-2 PREVENT)

The purpose of this research study is to determine if the study treatment, called inclisiran, taken in addition to approved background statin medication in people with established cardiovascular disease can safely and effectively lower the risk of cardiovascular events in the future (such as or including heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular-related deaths). Approximately 15,000 people who are at least 40 years old and have established cardiovascular disease are being invited to join this study. At least 250 of these participants will be Veterans
VICTORIAN is a multisite study with multiple VAs involved around the county. In February 2023, the STLVA was recognized for having the highest recruitment numbers of all the sites.
The Study is administered by VREF and funded by Novartis.
