Title: Precision Treatment to Promote Smoking Cessation and Survival in Oncology Patients

The overarching purpose of this study is to test clinician- and patient-level effects of a precision treatment intervention (PT) in comparison to usual care (UC) on tobacco treatment in hematology/ oncology clinics. The study team will enroll approximately 12 clinicians and approximately 96 screen-eligible patients from a diverse hematology/oncology setting to be enrolled in this study. Participating clinicians will be randomly assigned to one of 2 groups: Usual Care (UC) or Precision Treatment (PT).
The study is administered by VREF and funded by the Department of Defense (DOD) and Washington University in St. Louis.
