Dr. Sayuk is a Gastroenterologist at the St. Louis VA. He currently serves as the PI on several projects including: CIPO, Prevalence and Impact of Comorbidity Burden in Patients Referred for Screening Colonoscopy, and Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA)
Dr. Gregory Sayuk is also a Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri within the Division of Gastroenterology. Dr. Sayuk received his medical school training at the University of Texas at Houston and completed his residency for internal medicine as well as his gastroenterology fellowship at Washington University. His clinical and research interests include irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and related disorders of gut-brain interaction, with a particular focus on the role of non-GI factors, such as mood and sleep, in the patient’s symptom experience and response to treatment |
